What a great day. Am back home after 22 days away from my daughter – the look on her face when she saw me was heartwarming, to say the least. She is definitely my drive to become a better me.

In all honesty, I was reluctant to go see her at first. It was late when I got home and my ex and I haven’t been seeing eye to eye. However, it’s my daughter that needs me (and very much vice-versa) so I put my feelings aside and did the right thing. I’m so glad I did.

It’s important to note that a lot of things in life are like this. For whatever reason, we put things off as we may be nervous, find them to be an inconvenience (to either ourselves or others) and although we know what great things would come from doing the task at hand… we put it off.

Yet the times we do what’s we know we should be doing (rather than binging on Netflix eating shite that makes us lethargic), we get a rush of excitement knowing that we made the right decision and move once step closer to where we want to be.

It’s important to build on those successes and keep pushing for the version of yourself that you know you could be if you just do what’s needed from you.

I also had a great phone call with a potential mentor which has given me a lot of food for thought. A lot of it is to do with what I know already. However the confidence of having someone who knows what they are talking about and are respected, telling you that you can do something is overwhelmingly immense in the mindset it puts you in.

For whatever reason, many of us never had that in our lives and the effect it has on us is priceless when someone takes the time to sit with us and help us know how to push forward to something special.
